Emerging Artist Gallery
NPCC Gallery Promo Image Jessica Bryant

Jessica Bryant

Exhibition Duration: October 2 – October 22, 2017

Jessica Bryant is an abstract artist, living in Guelph, Ontario. In 2016 she graduated from OCAD University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Drawing and Painting.

In a world that is full of noise, painting is her way of escaping into a place of meditation where distractions fade and a peaceful environment is created. Her creative process explores controlling and letting go of the natural movement of fluid paint. This is a representation of the internal struggle of surrendering control to one’s circumstances in order to demonstrate faith.

Our second meeting of the year went well last Thursday night as we delved into the magic of mixing and using Schmincke gold powder, writing calligraphy with a ruling pen and making our own butterfly nibs (such lovely marks!).  We also held our Annual General Meeting.  The current Board members were re-elected for another year, with the addition of Nancy elected as our NPCC representative.  There is still a little room in Mark’s Italic course beginning this Thursday evening (October 19) for anyone interested in signing up.  For more information, please see
