About
The Calligraphic Arts Guild of Toronto (CAGT) was founded in 1974 by Calligrapher Alf Ebsen and incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in 1975. A resident group at NPCC for 20 years, CAGT has continued to provide opportunities for the study of calligraphy, its history, cultural traditions and application for all ages through classes, workshops and exhibitions.

Meetings 2017

CAGT meets at Neilson Park Creative Centre (NPCC). The second Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. or Sunday afternoons at 1:00 p.m. as scheduled.
Dates:  March 9, April 13, May 11, and June 8, 2017


Membership

Regular membership is open to all, regardless of calligraphic ability. Yearly fee September to August is only $125.00, including the NPCC membership of $100.00 with access to Guild classes, workshops, library resources, CAGT exhibitions and NPCC privileges such as discounts to stores and Art Galleries. (Payable to NPCC) Sign up for NPCC and CAGT memberships here

Unable to join as a Guild member? Friends of the CAGT is a membership option. Take Guild classes at a reduced rate and join the CAGT on events off the premises of NPCC. Our annual exhibition Calligraphic Confederation is May 23 - June 11, 2017, in the NPCC Hall Gallery. Reception and talk is on June 8, 2017

Mark your calendars! October 29, 2017 CAGT members who will be demonstrating atScriptus Toronto’s Pen and Writing Show, Toronto Reference Library, 789 Yong Street, Toronto 9 am to 4 pm.
