Our camps support a creative learning environment where participants, ages 5-12, are encouraged to explore and enrich their lives through the arts.

What to Bring:
Campers should wear comfortable clothes that can get messy. We suggest packing a change of clothes and/or a smock. Campers should bring a reusable water bottle, hat and indoor shoes. Campers should bring a lunch and two snacks. Lunches should be ready-to-eat, as there is no access to kitchen appliances. Campers should not bring peanut/nut products. Campers should not share food items with one another. Campers are encouraged not to bring personal toys. Cell phones are to be safely stowed away. NPCC is not responsible for lost/stolen or damaged items.
Health and Safety:
All campers must complete health and dismissal form at time of registration. Campers must be signed-in every morning and signed-out every afternoon by a parent/guardian listed on the health and dismissal form. Photo identification will be requested at every sign-out. Parents/guardians must review any medication with the Programs Coordinator on the first day of camp. If a camper becomes ill, the parent/guardian will be notified. If the parent/guardian is not available, the emergency contact will be notified.
Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm unless otherwise specified. Campers are welcome to arrive between 8:30 - 9:00am. Morning extended care is available between 7:30 – 8:30am for an additional fee. Afternoon extended care is available between 4:00 – 5:30pm for an additional fee. Facilitated in Neilson Park Creative Centre and Neilson Park.
Each camp is limited to a maximum of 15 campers. Campers participate in arts and recreational activities each day. There will be two 30-minute snack breaks and one-hour lunch break each day. Each week there will be a visit from a guest artist(s). Campers and camp staff welcome parents/guardians to attend a presentation every Friday at 3:30pm.

Camp staff members include the Programs Coordinator, counsellors, artist instructors and volunteers. Staff participate in comprehensive preparation prior to the start of camp that includes Emergency First Aid, HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development, and inclusion and support training.
Inclusion and Support:

Code of Conduct:
NPCC is committed to providing a safe, inclusive and positive environment. By participating in Neilson Park Creative Centre programming you are agreeing to adhere to our Code of Conduct. Visit our website to learn more. Camp staff will discuss camp rules and expectations on the first day of camp. Failure to comply with the Code of Conduct may lead to dismissal from camp.
imagineTHAT! NPCC Young Creators’ Exhibition:
NPCC welcomes campers to submit their artwork into our annual exhibition highlighting young creators. Simply complete a submission form and leave your artwork with us at the end of the day on Fridays. The exhibition will run from September 9 to 28, 2019. Closing Celebration: Saturday September 28, 2-4pm.
Camper scholarships may be available. Qualified applicants must submit a complete application to be considered by May 17, 2019. Parents/Guardians will be notified of application status by June 4, 2019. Preference will be given to first-time applicants. Spaces are limited and based on availability.
