On the evening of Friday, May 10, 7-10 PM, NPCC will be hosting an evening of art and wine in our Art Space Connect Gallery. Tickets are $60 per person and will be sold in advance of the event. Tickets may be purchased at the front desk, on the phone or on-line. Ticket holders will attend a fun evening of refreshments and mingling, PLUS they’ll go home with a piece of original art in a shadow box frame!
How can you contribute to the success of this event?
Please attend our wonderful fundraiser by purchasing your tickets or create a piece of art or both!
Artists and craft persons are asked to create a piece of art to be framed in a shadow box. We are looking for a minimum of 100 participants. You will be asked to contribute $15 toward the cost of the first shadowbox and $10 for the second, or more. You will be given a donation receipt for tax purposes for the value of your artwork if the work is claimed at the May 10 event. Artwork that is not claimed will be returned to the artist.
The shadow boxes are black, 9 x 9 inches, with a depth of 1 ¾”. The mat may be used or taken out. This type of framing is ideal in that it can be used by all of our members including textile and fibre artists.
There are no rules about artistic content – please just be creative and show off your own talents and interests!
- A sign-up sheet is located at the NPCC front desk – please sign-up during January as soon as possible so that we will be able to purchase the current number of frames. You may also give us a call at (416) 622-5294 – we’d be happy to sign you up!
- The frames are available for pick-up now
- Drop off your completed framed creation by April 30
7-8 PM – Event begins, mix and mingle. Enjoy light refreshments and a cash bar.
8-9 PM – Drawing for artwork selection. Each ticket holder will be provided with a number. At 8 PM, numbers will be individually hand-drawn so that attendees may claim their shadowbox to take home.
9-10 PM – Unclaimed shadowboxes are available for purchase in silent auction.
