For beginners, seasoned artists in need of a shake-up and those in between, this course can be tailored to meet your needs and will keep you moving on your creative journey. Painting and drawing in a variety of media will be explored, with emphasis on strong compositions, value design, and colours that sing. Students are free to try any media (except oils, please). Satisfy both sides of the brain by thoughtfully designing your painting, drawing or other artwork without sacrificing spontaneity and life. There will be a brief discussion about an art related topic (theory, materials, history) in each class.

You are welcome to explore any medium (with the exception of anything solvent based) in this class. You are also free to explore any subject matter (landscape, still-life, portrait, fantasy, etc.) or style (objective, non objective, abstract) that you choose.
