Black History Month: Poetry Slam

Join us for NPCC’s 2nd Annual Black History Month Poetry Slam 🎤 on February 21st from 7PM to 9PM, a night dedicated to the power of spoken word and the voices of Black poets. Eight talented poets will take the stage, delivering passionate performances in a two-round competition. The top five poets will advance to the final round, competing for cash prizes—$500 for first place, $150 for second, and $75 for third.

We’re thrilled to welcome Eddie Lartey as our feature poet, delivering a special set at the mid-point of the competition. The evening will be hosted by the incredible Desiree Mckenzie, ensuring an electrifying and engaging experience for all.

Come out to witness raw talent, powerful storytelling, and an unforgettable night of poetry. Whether you’re cheering on the poets or soaking in the energy, this is an event you won’t want to miss!
