Please join Neilson Park Creative Centre, Doll Haus and our community partner, Toronto Pearson as we celebrate Pride month on June 20 @ 6 pm – 9 pm! Get ready for an unforgettable night of glitz, glam, and fabulousness at our Pride Drag Show, hosted by the dynamic duo Anne Tique Doll and Ultraviolet! These two powerhouse queens will lead the way through an evening filled with jaw-dropping performances, fierce fashion, and so much heart. Alongside them, the stunning Kara Melle will bring her charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent, while the dazzling Rosie is sure to light up the stage with her charm and flair. It’s a celebration of love, inclusivity, and self-expression—come for the show, stay for the fun, and let’s make this Pride the most fabulous one yet!

While you’re at the Centre, be sure to explore our juried art exhibition featuring the work of youth and adults who identify as 2SLGBTQIA+ community members. The theme for this year’s exhibition is “Be Creative, Be You, Be All In!” The exhibition is featured in the Parkview Gallery from June 17 to July 5, 2025. Kat Honey, our juror, will be awarding prizes at the reception and awards ceremony at 7:45 pm.

Kat Honey is an award-winning graduate of OCAD. Often bold (but sometimes subtle), Kat’s work in collage, signage and painting is informed by her graphic design background. Recent exhibitions include: The Red Head Gallery, Gladstone House’s Come Up to My Room, In Situ Multi-Arts Festival, Artist Project 2023 & 2024, 1 Adelaide East, Quest Art, Midland, and Fashion Art Toronto Fall/Winter 2023.

Kat designed and illustrated Bright Fish, a book of poetry by the late Lavell Ferris Baldock. She also designed a neon installation for Gladstone House (fabricated by FUSE Neon), has 3 collage prints in Newmarket’s Postmark Hotel, and has work in all suites and corridors of the newly-renovated Union Hotel in Toronto.

She has been a long-time instructor at Neilson Park Creative Centre, teaching collage (and other art subjects) – and hosts the popular Virtual Collage Jam on Youtube — featured in Kolag Magazine issue #34. When she’s not in the studio or teaching, Kat can often be found in her gym or out riding one of her beloved bicycles.

While you’re at the Centre, participate in our button- and bracelet-making activities and visit our Resident Groups in Studio C. All workshops and activities are free of charge and take place at 56 Neilson Drive in Etobicoke. This is an all ages and accessible event.

We’ll have snacks and beverages and special Pride cupcakes made with love by Bake Sale, our community partner and local bakery! NPCC has free on-site or street parking and is a fully accessible facility. For special accommodations, we invite you to email [email protected].
