Etobicoke Quilters’ Guild

Formed in 1975, the Etobicoke Quilters’ Guild is a thriving group of people who gather regularly to express their creativity through all aspects of quilting. Members have access to our bright and spacious fibre art studio two days per week, where they can work on projects in a supportive and helpful environment.

EQG has almost everything a quilter could ask for: layout tables, cutting boards, rulers, rotary cutters, and sewing machines – just bring your fabric and ideas!  We offer a number of different programs and learning opportunities across a variety of levels of ability.  Bring your own projects or learn some new skills. The popular Learn to Quilt Program will teach you how to manage your project to achieve great results. Join as a beginner or brush up on rotary cutting and machine piecing skills. Layering, basting and quilting will also be demonstrated and practiced.

The Etobicoke Quilters’ Guild is proud of its “Comfort Quilt” program which began in 1989. We create unique and beautiful quilts and donate them to charities. Last year, we donated 200 quilts! It’s a great way to practice and make a difference in the community.

As part of your membership, you can join our monthly meetings where we have speakers from all walks of the quilting world. Tea and coffee are provided and the library is open for your perusal. Still not convinced you should join us?  Feel free to pop in to Studio C on a Monday or Wednesday between 9am and 4pm or join our monthly meeting.
