Prepare for lift-off as we journey into the vast wonders of outer space! This week, campers will launch creativity sky-high and explore galaxies far, far away through a series of cosmic art projects that are truly out of this world. Bright stars, orbiting planets, and mysterious creatures and spinning satellites will spark imaginations and inspire infinite ideas. Children will create their very own balloon print planets and craft stunning asteroid belt art, they’ll step into the space boots of an astronaut and consider our familiar pale blue dot from afar, and grow as artists as they freely float their imaginations. Things will really light up with glow-in-the-dark creatures, galaxy light jars, and radiant constellation art! For our budding painters and older groups, we’ll dive into galaxy spin painting, fluorescent art, and luminescent mixed media works to expand their horizons of media use. Life drawing projects and dimensional art projects will provide foundational development as children and teens build skills in observation and composition development. All participants will discover the secrets of colour mixing and artistic principles in the most fun and interactive way possible under the guidance of our stellar ‘mission control’ team of kind and supportive instructors and counsellors. Camps are divided by age group: 5-7, 7-9, 9-11 and 11-14. Please sign up for your appropriate age group. All materials are included.
