Modern Art and Postmodern Art is the foundational springboard for this class and what that means is that students will be able to take inspiration from their world and the things they like, to create expressive works of art. Children will learn skill-expanding techniques in illustration, watercolour and acrylic painting, dimensional art and mixed media, and will be brought into the freeing aspect of considering a message or an observation they would like to communicate through their work. From expressions of beauty, to opinion to empowering visual statements, participants learn about the principles and elements of art and design as well as colour theory along the way. This fun class with Instructor Afifa, MFA, will strengthen students’ creative interpretation skills and develop valuable out-of-the-box thinking abilities. All materials are included.
