Her work focuses on the ways of the Indigenous people of the Great Lakes region from a historical and contemporary perspective often through the story of beads. In this session, students will be guided through the step-by-step process of creating the beautiful purse design and can adjust the beading pattern as they like. Naomi’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is part of public art institution collections and private collections all over the world. A kit with all required materials will be available for purchase directly from the Instructor on the first day of the session. $75, cash accepted.
