Follow your dreams. NPCC is excited to offer this amazing class with Jessica Rysyk, BFA, Sculpture and Installation. Jessica is an artist and fabricator for conceptual art projects and commercial design, and has a long list of public and corporate art project accomplishments. In this session, participants will learn how to use specialized materials for mould making and sculpture and will gain a practical, understanding of the properties and capabilities of compounds like alginate, silicone and other materials (chemical and odour free). Students will get the opportunity to implement the whole process of mould making, from concept and mother mould design to making multiple casts. In the end, you will also have the opportunity to paint your pieces. Plaster will be provided by the instructor as well as some supportive kit items, $16 per person, to be paid directly to the instructor at the start of class.
