This semi-abstracted, spirited landscape painting workshop delivered by Darlene Kulig is sure to resonate with your senses as you embrace the cool and mysterious tones of the Northern Lights. Explore the unique organic shapes, glimmers, gauzy quality of light that makes the night sky shimmer and shine. Students learn about the importance of value, saturation and balance, and look at the basic elements of design and colour. The instructor will reference Canadian painters and their take on our beautiful landscapes as students work from a supplied reference or bring a work they are developing. Darlene’s PEI paintings hang in The Mayo Clinic and her Canadian scenes are in Embassies around the world.
