It’s amazing for kids to explore the variety of colour and texture that is available through art. This session dives deep into projects that satisfy the senses. Shiny shells, smooth stones and scaly tails, cobbled coral, velvety moss and of course, silky sand will be used as we escape to the surroundings of a sunny climate. Beach bins, jarred water scenes, painted, crafted and woven wonders emerge from creative depths, and beaded, swaddles of baubled coral are paired with projects that explore the slick, glistening sheen of sea life and… Mer people. As students listen to calming beach sounds and rhythmic waves with Child and Youth Practitioner and Art Instructor, Liha, the world will be their oyster. All materials are included.
