In this silk painting class, students learn how to employ the resist method using a special solution and techniques to create a beautiful piece of frameable art. Come prepared with a design in mind, or we can offer a variety of designs for you to start your work. After painting, your silk creation needs to be dried and steamed for your piece to become stable and durable. The last hour of the class is used for this. A materials kit is to be purchased directly from the instructor on the day of the session, $25 per person, no HST. Cash accepted. Kit includes silk, paint and other related supplies. Students are required to bring an embroidery hoop in the size of their choosing and are welcome to bring their own hairdryer to speed the drying process.
