This amazing class in Surface Design is just the thing for textile design enthusiasts or visual artists who want to take their practice a step further. With this class, you will be able to create pattern repeats out of your digitally or manually created works using the digital platform Procreate, and get your designs printed on fabric or objects by uploading them to print-on-demand websites! Students will learn how to develop collage prints, how to till your print in Procreate, how to adjust for different types of repeats, and how to create motifs. Students will then learn how to upload one collage and on hand-painted concept to a print-on-demand site and will be bale to consider textile printing or object printing options. Students are required to bring their own tablet or laptop with a downloaded version of Procreate. Concept presentations with examples, references, definitions and inspiration will be provided so that students can learn what they can expect to be able to accomplish and also see what other artists are doing with this process.
