2024 Founders Fundraising Campaign
As the year winds down, let’s pause to reflect on the joy Neilson Park Creative Centre has brought us. The inspiration, the growth, the friendship and community – it’s all been made possible by you. Our independence is a testament to the spirit of our members and supporters. Every registration, membership, and exhibition is an affirmation of our mission.
Your continued support over the past years has transformed a deficit into stability. It has allowed us to equip our studios with enhanced audio-visual technology, offer educational and fun classes and workshops, revive Arts in The Park through the Neilson Park Creative Festival, and host free events for our community.
Remember last year? Your contributions helped us host free community events like Family Day, NPCC Celebrates PRIDE, and the Neilson Park Creative Festival. We were even able to provide free workshops and classes, like Embroidery Open Studio, Online Knit Night, Indigenous Beading, and other creative programs, making art a joy available to everyone.
We’re offering something fun this year (it’s why ‘fun’ appears in fundraiser!) For every donation of $50 or more, our talented NPCC staff will create a hand-drawn digital portrait of you, a family member, or even a pet! Just donate, and a staff member will email you requesting a photo. In two weeks, you’ll get your tax receipt and a unique hand-crafted digital drawing. Our creative team – Alexander, Amadeus, Cory, Gabby, Ghena, Julia, Liha, Matthew, Petra, or Toia – can’t wait to put their artistic skills to work for you. We can’t promise a perfect likeness, but we promise it’ll be made with love!
These original drawings will be displayed on our donor appreciation wall behind the front desk and we invite you to come look at our creations, guess the identity of people and pets, and vote for your favorite! Drawings will also be featured on our social media platforms.
This year, our goal is to raise $20,000 so that we may continue our good work into 2025. Join us and invest in joy – for yourself, for our community – and make a generous gift to Neilson Park Creative Centre during our special holiday season. Donations may be made until December 31, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. for a 2024 tax receipt.
