The Mississauga Potters’ Guild was founded in 1978 as a non-profit community based organization run by and for its members. Their Guild has grown immensely from its humble beginnings when a few clay enthusiasts gathered together in members’ homes. The founding members’ mandate to operate as a community resource in the art and craft of pottery is still true today. Their Guild advances this mandate by welcoming all members from the community, maintains a studio with 24/7 access for members, offers classes and workshops, holds monthly meetings and provides sale and exhibition opportunities for members. Their Guild is led by an elected Board of Directors and governed by its Articles, By-Laws, Policies and Procedures.
