Sean Cisterna is an award-winning filmmaker who previously directed the festival-favourite The Long Rider (2022), a sweeping documentary chronicling a 25,000 km horseback journey from Canada to Brazil. His 2019 feature From the Vine, an international coproduction set in the world of Italian wine and starring Emmy winner Joe Pantoliano, was distributed by Samuel Goldwyn Films. Cisterna also directed the critically acclaimed teen cancer drama Kiss and Cry (2017) and Full Out (2015), a gymnastics biopic starring Jennifer Beals—both of which streamed globally on Netflix.
