Bold, fearless, risk-taking and purposeful women. Defiant, relentless, advocates of female truth, paving the way for others to less painfully walk over the shards of shattered norms. In this fantastic art class, learn about the self transformation, defiance of societal expectations and the social impact of women in art. Helen McCusker offers a curated collection of talks and art projects inspired by art renegades and those that didn’t shrink to make others comfortable or feel more powerful. Learn how they developed their craft, made a living from art, and how they got noticed regardless of neck-stepping. Each session will focus on one or two artists and then with the guidance and support of the instructor, students will create their our own artwork incorporating their ideas and techniques. Helen McCusker is a collected and exhibiting Artist and Instructor at NPCC for over 25 years. For a materials list, please check our website.
