Each week, kids will learn about famous works of art and artists, both past and present, and will then select and re create a famous work in a different media than it was originally created! Skills in media use, and observation of shape, form, texture, colour and harmony in composition will grow as participants might create projects like a textile Mona Lisa, a paper Degas, mixed media Klimt, pastel Kahlo or a squishable plush Warhol or Hoji frog. Media may change meaning and reference subjects will evolve into personal expression and abstraction making this class so much fun and creatively fulfilling. All materials are included!
