Where Gardens Remember brings together a group of oil paintings exploring gardens not simply as botanical subjects, but as spaces shaped by memory, mood and attention. Flowers are enlarged, layered, simplified or allowed to dissolve into surrounding colour. Shifts between dark grounds, luminous petals, quiet blues and dense foliage create different emotional registers, from intimacy and stillness to abundance and movement.
Her process is intuitive and layered, combining direct brushwork with glazing, texture and repeated marks. She begins with familiar natural forms but allows colour and gesture to redirect the image as it develops. The works reflect an ongoing movement in her practice from observational painting toward a more expressive language in which the garden becomes both subject and remembered place.
