Lithuanian Folk Art Institute’s 50th Anniversary Exhibition

50 Years of Tradition: From Our Past, Through Our Hands, Into the Future

August 24 to September 18, 2027

Location: Art Space Connect Gallery

Presented by: Lithuanian Folk Art Institute (LTFAI)

Reception: TBA

For 50 years, the Lithuanian Folk Art Institute has brought people together to preserve, share, and create Lithuanian folk art. From its founding in 1977, the Institute has helped carry traditions across borders and generations. Today, it continues to connect artists, learners, and communities through workshops, talks, and shared knowledge—and looks ahead to a future where these traditions continue to inspire current and future generations.

The exhibition will showcase the wide range of folk art that we support and promote. This includes textile art such as weavings, tapestries and traditional national costumes, wooden sculptures, ceramics, straw art, papercut art, oil painting and decorative easter eggs.
