Be part of moving the conversation forward on contemporary abstraction and actively draw on the influence of three artists that are both pushing new ideas and pulling attention in the San Francisco Bay area. Steve Rose will present current works by Mark Engel, Hiroshi Sato, and Kim Froshin, and will inspire with connections between present and past ‘Bay Area’ artists. As students work from their selected references, Steve will support with constructive discussion and technique development in observation, composition, colour, and use of media.
