Get festive with mosaic art and make something beautiful and long-lasting. Jump at the chance to learn with Elena Martoglio, a local artist with an international following! Elena will take the group through the process of planning a motif, and will supply everything you need to complete your project from substrate and tiles, to wheeled tile nippers, adhesive, grout and appropriate hanging hardware. Participants will learn the art of ‘andamento’ – following tile lines to create a visual rhythm and will be able to bring items from home if they like to embellish their projects. Beads, buttons, old jewelry or meaningful knick knacks are all welcome. The purchase of a kit will be required for this class and will include all necessary items. $30 to be paid to the instructor at the start of the class. Cash accepted.
