Create frameworks for successful graphic art compositions with greater awareness, informed process and intention, then apply them to explore a range of artful visual outcomes. While combinations focus on the selection of elements, permutations focus on the arrangement and ordering of those elements to create distinct visual structures. Have fun generating unique visual rhythms in composition, practice achieving unity or diversity by reordering a fixed set of elements and learn how to use “basis” sets to avoid certain patterns, ensuring a specific visual aesthetic. Feel free to use a variety of material combinations to see how textures interact with light and how colours interact with one another. Students will truly grow as artists in the capable hands of Vitaly Medvedovsky MFA, Painting, Concordia University and BFA, OCAD. Vitaly has taught and exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Stuttgart, and Berlin and has received numerous awards. For a materials list, please check our website.
