Summer has arrived! Let your imagination soar as you escape to the land of fantasy and storytelling. Learn the step-by-step process of creating very special mixed media art pieces that are inspired by you and your dreams. You will have access to a variety of media such as old maps, collage materials and templates, paints, pastels, specialty papers and printmaking tools, and will draw and paint yourself into a wonderland of creativity. Whether you snooze on the back of a swan, hitch a ride on a comet, yell AHOY! to passing ships from the wings of an albatross, or stick a sail into a cloud and glide on a wind-whisper into a sunset of watercolour bliss, you’re learning about surrealism! Whether you like to read to butterflies while they perch on the nose of a fawn or give your pet fish a bath underwater, or be the captain that turns the gears of a time machine, you will be applying lessons on the principles and elements of art and design. Our instructors are professionals and will help you realize your dreams on canvas or in sculptural form! Projects will be tuned to the skills and interests of each age group, older groups learn more advanced methods, and classes will be led by our wonderful team of fun, kind and supportive art instructors and counsellors.
