Surrealist fun and unique art games pave the way for creative growth and perspective in this class. Participants will use chance, unexpected combinations, image fragments, and imaginative prompts to create a surreal mixed-media work with the support of Artist Instructor Veronika Bondarenko, BFA, OCAD. The group will be guided through a project structure based around dream logic, collage, and automatic drawing which will give beginners an accessible route to approaching the subject. Those more familiar will grow their skills in Surrealist methods like frottage and automatism. The group will also enjoy a special game invented by French Surrealists around 1925 to tap into the unconscious mind and generate some surrealist group art for each person to take home!
