The artistic advantage. Each week, kids get to learn about famous works of art and artists, both past and present, and will then select and re create a famous work in a different media than it was originally created! Skills in media use and observation of shape, form, texture, colour and harmony in composition will grow as participants might create projects like a textile Mona Lisa, paper Degas, mixed media Klimt, pastel Kahlo or a squishable plush Warhol. Media may change meaning and reference subjects will evolve into personal expression and abstraction making this class so much fun and creatively fulfilling. All materials are included!
