Assemblage Art – Found Objects, Memory, and Material Meaning

This workshop will include a lesson in assemblage as a way of transforming everyday materials into meaningful compositions, and will introduce influential artist Marcel Duchamp and the “Readymade” as key subjects while participants enjoy this exciting introduction to assemblage. As a project, students will create a small wall-based or box-based assemblage using layered materials, image fragments, texture, and personal or symbolic objects. Veronika is an Artist, Instructor and holds a BA in Fine Art from OCAD. For a materials list, please check our website.
